We build websites and brands for restaurants, hotels, bars and cafés.

A venue has its own kind of guest, its own margins and its own rules, so it gets a practice of its own. Here is who we are and how a job with us works.

The practice

One vertical, not a general studio

Vinrose designs venue identity, menus and websites for restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés and event venues. It runs as the hospitality arm of a wider design and website practice, working only with venues.

Why hospitality needs a different approach

A guest standing outside a venue decides in the time it takes to glance at a phone, so the identity, the menu and the site all have to do that work in seconds. The margin on a plate of food behaves differently, and the law follows the venue: the Food Information Regulations 2014 govern how allergens are declared, the Licensing Act 2003 shapes what a description can say about serving alcohol, and a site built for a shop or a service business is rarely built to hold either.

Who commissions the work

Most jobs come from the owner or manager of an independent restaurant, hotel, bar or café, someone who knows their venue and their guest and needs the identity, menu or website to catch up with both. Small hospitality groups refreshing several venues at once, and consultants or PR people commissioning on a client's behalf, use the same route in.

Work that falls outside hospitality is referred, so a shop, a clinic or a general small business goes to one of the practice's other studios.

Every job starts with a written brief. Start a conversation about a venue, or see what the practice actually builds on the services page.

A different set of rules

Allergen law, licensing and calorie labelling shape a venue's design in ways a shop's website never has to consider.

Referred, not stretched
